Company description
The description field allows up to 500 characters. It is read by Brantelo's compliance team during review and can appear on your public seller page once approved — it is the first impression a buyer gets of your business before they look at a single product.
Include
- What you manufacture, distribute or supply (be specific: “OEM brake components for European passenger vehicles” beats “auto parts”)
- Years in operation and where you are based
- Certifications you hold (ISO, IATF, CE, etc.)
- Markets or countries you currently ship to
- Product categories that match what you plan to list
Avoid
- Generic marketing language with no concrete detail
- A company name or activity that doesn't match your registration certificate
- Contact details or links (these belong in your account settings, not the description)
- Leaving it blank — it is the most-read field after your company name
Employee count & annual revenue
These two fields are selected from ranges rather than typed in free text. They help Brantelo understand the scale of your operation — a one-person trading business and a 200-employee manufacturer have different review and support needs. Neither figure needs to be exact; choose the band that best describes your company today.
Both fields are optional but recommended: leaving them blank doesn't block your application, but filling them in gives reviewers useful context and can be used (in aggregate, not individually) to match you with relevant buyer categories such as B2B wholesale.
Frequently asked questions
Is the company profile step required to register as a seller on Brantelo?
The company description field accepts up to 500 characters and is strongly recommended — it is one of the first things Brantelo's compliance team and future buyers read. Employee count and annual revenue are selected from a range and help categorise your business size; they are not published verbatim on your public seller page.
What should I write in the company description?
Lead with what you make or distribute, which markets you serve, and what makes your business credible to a buyer who has never heard of you — years in operation, certifications, factory or warehouse location, and the categories of automotive or EV parts you specialise in.
Does a more detailed profile get approved faster?
Reviewers cross-check your profile against your uploaded registration certificate and tax documents. A description that matches your official company name and stated business activity avoids back-and-forth requests for clarification, which is the most common cause of delay.
